Your finished Automatic Parts Loader, specifically tooled for your needs, will be constructed using a combination of the following system options.
Toellner Systems, Inc. (TSI) Base Loader
This is a floor-mounted unit, which is lagged to the floor in the space normally occupied by an operator. The trademark feature of the Toellner Loader allows it to be unlatched and pivoted clear of the door, promoting easy access to the lathe work envelope. The loader utilizes servo technology and compressed air, which promotes smooth operation. Air is channeled through a TSI provided soft start regulator, allowing the unit to be brought up to pressure smoothly by avoiding all sudden movements of the air cylinders, thereby ensuring operator safety. The Control Cabinet is conveniently located on the loader frame. Tucked neatly inside the cabinet is an Allen-Bradley Programmable Controller. Suitably located on the Control Cabinet are an E-Stop Button, Reset/Hold, and Power On/Off switch. The actual working parts loader is its upper assembly. Equipped with a Nest/Shuttle assembly, it enters the machining envelope through an access door provided by TSI. Entering through the door (as opposed to using an auto door/open close unit) saves 5-6 seconds in the load/unload cycle.
40-Inch Parts Magazine
The magazine holds 40 inches of raw parts. A 1-inch diameter part gives you a capacity of 40 pieces in queue, a 2-inch diameter part offers a capacity of 20 pieces. The magazine gravity feeds parts to an escapement area. The parts are then metered into our loading nest. Please note: For each separate part diameter to be loaded, an individual nest must be constructed.
Part Orientation/Magazine
This option enables the Toellner Loader to stage incoming part queues in a precise attitude. This is accomplished by having the machine operator manually load the parts into a magazine in the orientation required for work holding clamping.
40-Inch Multi-Row Parts Magazine
The magazine holds 40 inches of raw parts and can have as many as 6 rows of parts depending on part length. 4 rows of a 2-inch diameter part that is 2 inches long will result in a capacity of 80 pieces in queue. This magazine gravity feeds parts to an escapement area. The parts are then metered into our loading nest. Please note: For each separate part diameter to be loaded, an individual nest must be constructed.
