TSI Between Centers Load Option
This option is ideal for parts that lay horizontal to the lathe centerline and are machined between centers or slightly held with work holding and tailstock center. The loader advances to the part catch position; work holding releases and tailstock retracts, allowing part to fall into catcher bucket. Loader advances to load position, tail stock advances, work holding closes, and then loader returns to home position, setting the part on take away conveyor leading to customer supplied container.
TSI Part Stop/Ejector
This is required to eject the part from the work holding after machining. The part is caught in a parts catcher bucket, which is mounted just ahead of the Nest/Shuttle assembly. It has a trap door on the bottom, allowing the part to be deposited (once the unit has fully retracted to a position outside the lathe) onto a conveyor or ramp leading to a customer provided container.
TSI Through Spindle Air Blow/Coolant Flush
This option is required when part configurations have a through hole or bore. This hole/bore allows chips and coolant to exit the rear spindle tube. These contaminants tend to adversely affect part stop points and in general disrupt smooth operation of the part ejector. To remedy this takes full cooperation of the end user to eliminate chip build up from bird nesting. TSI provides an air blow/coolant flush, which must be activated during any ID work via M-code in machining program. Under no circumstances will TSI be held responsible for chip control.
Parts Take Away Indexing Conveyor
And Parts Accumulation Table
This option allows finished machined parts to be moved away from the part unloader drop zone. The conveyor is 4 inches wide by 6 feet long and is positioned up against the front of the lathe. Parts are moved to a parts accumulation table conveniently located at the end of the conveyor. This table is capable of holding 2-3 hours of finished parts. A parts handling package will be developed for delicate handling in all part contact areas.
